Mrs. John E. Higbee, 711 E. Market Street learned Saturday night of the death of her sister, Mrs. Alice Grenard 84, of 739 1/2 North Holmes, Indianapolis. She had been ill the past six weeks at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Julia Hyten of Brownsburg. Her husband preceded her in death in July 26, 1954, and a brother, Chester Hendricks of Waynetown July 17, 1962. Mrs. Higbee (sic - should be Grenard) is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Nettie West, Mrs. Jennie Vaughn and Mrs. Eva Dawson all of Indianapolis, Mrs. Ruth Drake of Bloomington and Mrs. Julia Hyten of Brownsburg; a son, Harold Grenard of Seattle, Wash; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Fruits of New Richmond and Mrs. Higbee of this city and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Chapel 3136 W. 16th St, Indianpolis, Ind. Burial in Lizton Cemetery.
